Emergency Pause in SARC Services*
Effective August 14, 2025
Dear Community,
The Sexual Assault Resource Center (SARC) has been serving survivors and our community since 1977. Today, we are facing the most difficult moment in our history.
Due to severe funding cuts and ongoing uncertainties at the federal and state levels, we have enacted an emergency pause in all services effective at the close of business on Thursday, August 14, 2025. This includes all direct survivor services — our 24-hour Support Line, in-person accompaniment to hospitals and law enforcement interviews, counseling, and group services — as well as all education, outreach, and training activities.
At this time, there is no specific timeline for resuming services, and this pause will remain in place until further notice. We are committed to restoring services as soon as possible and will keep the community informed as our plans develop.
